Background: Ms. Leong co-founded Pono Pacific with her husband, John, in 2000. Along with owning and operating a small Hawai‘i-based business and growing the company to over 30 employees with revenues of several million annually, she handles business development, management, project management, system quality control, marketing development, project leadership, and field management. Ms. Leong’s extensive field experience includes trail development and maintenance, fence/exclosure building, data collection and monitoring, botanical survey, invasive species removal, native forest restoration work, helicopter long line and short line certified, and long-term area management.
